What is CrossFit Bukit Timah?
CrossFit Bukit Timah is Singapore’s largest outdoor CrossFit box in Singapore.
Where can we find CrossFit Bukit Timah?
You can find us at 220 Turf Road, just past Centaurs Rugby Pitch and the Tennis Courts. CrossFit Bukit Timah is nestled in the jungle, enjoying fitness in the great outdoors.
Do you do anything else apart from CrossFit?
Yes, we coach our members individually through Personal Training and in smaller groups. If you’re looking to take your fitness to another level or simply looking to improve your techniques and skills then talk to Craig Rutherford on how we can help you get there.
Can I drop-in to any class?
We’d love for you to join any of our scheduled classes! As long as you have taken your Fundamentals at another CrossFit Affiliate then all you have to do is let us know you’re coming beforehand. Our classes fill up quickly so we wouldn’t want you to miss out.
Can I just use the gym for my own training?
Yes! As long as you're comfortable with using the equipment without supervision, you are more than welcome to come in for our open gym hours. Please note that you are fully responsible for your own safety as well as those around you when you train on your own. This is our home, we simply ask that you take care of it like your own!
Do I need experience before coming in?
If you’re completely new to CrossFit, give us a call or come by for a chat and we’ll explain what we’re all about. You will need to have taken your free introduction trial and Fundamentals class before you can join our members classes. You do not need to have prior experience, as we cater to all levels of fitness!
What if I’m incredibly out of shape and I’m a little terrified about coming in?
You have our promise that you’ll be completely fine. We’ve had people come in who were bigger, older, weaker, and probably less coordinated than you are, and they walked out of here unscathed leaving us happier and healthier than before. The most important thing is that you’ve decided to do something that will lead you to a healthier life, we will help you get there.
I have/had an injury. Can I still do CrossFit?
Many of our members have used CrossFit training to rehabilitate their injuries. As humans we are constantly in motion regardless of any existing injuries. We believe that learning the best and safest forms of functional movements, while gaining strength in these movements, as opposed to avoiding them altogether will lead you to long-term health. Our coaches are always on hand to support and advise you accordingly and substitute exercises. That being said should you need further assistance our sister company at the UFIT Clinic is always on hand to help out our CrossFit members to assess, determine your injury and help to rehabilitate.
Can I come in for a trial class before I sign up for membership?
Of course! We ask that everyone wanting to experience the can join our trial classes every other Saturday at 10am – talk to our team to find out when the next trial is and get yourself signed up. If you’re unable to make one of these sessions please shoot us an email and we will help to arrange another time.
Can I sign up for a membership immediately?
If you do not have any experience with CrossFit, we request that you attend one of our Fundamentals classes, which run on alternate Saturdays, before you sign up for a membership with us. The class will last 1.5 hours where we will run through what CrossFit is all about which includes the 9 fundamental movements, training philosophy to using our gym equipment.
But I’m super fit already! Do I really need to do a Fundamentals class even if I’ve never done CrossFit?
If you haven’t done CrossFit before you are still required to take our Fundamentals class so that we can make sure our members understand the basics of each and every movement in a safe environment. This also helps us run smoother classes because you’ll already know what you’re doing.
What do I need to bring?
You only need yourself! Come in some basic workout clothes (shirt, shorts, trainers and plenty of water); we’ll provide the rest.
How much is it to join?
