Here are a few of the reasons our Fundamentals class is vital for new athletes:
 

  1. You’ll have the opportunity to learn in a small group with constant attention and support from one of our coaches. Being part of a small group of like-minded individuals is a great way to learn.
     
  2. Our Coaching Team will be able to assist with any pre-existing injuries or mobility problems before you join the group WODs, and can help in guiding and advising you on how to improve your flexibility.
     
  3. You’ll learn all the movements needed to complete the WODs we do on a daily basis, which is beneficial both to you and to our other athletes.  During group WODs our Coaches will have time to refine and revise technique on that day’s movements but sadly will not have enough time to teach movements from scratch.  If all athletes possess a similar basic level of proficiency, the Coach will be able to move throughout the class and make corrections as necessary, as opposed to focusing strictly on one person.
     
  4. You’ll learn how to do the movements properly from the moment you start with us.  That way you won’t have to go back later on and un-learn bad habits.  By learning proper form and range of motion, you’ll maximise the results you get from your workouts while minimising the risk of injury. This is very important to us.
     
  5. You’ll build friendships with our Coaches and your fellow athletes from the beginning. This is important to us so you become part of our strong community atmosphere.
